Most Christians are intimately familiar with the first command given by the Creator to His creation: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.” (Genesis 1:28, ESV)
To those who have experienced infertility, this command is a dagger to the heart…
Is Infertility a Curse?
We’ve all heard it: “Children are such a blessing from the Lord.”
The man or woman who does not experience this divine blessing (aka children) is left wondering if they have done something wrong, if they are being punished, or worse, cursed.
Where is God in My Infertility?
Primary infertility.
The handwritten words scrawled on top of the laboratory requisition dropped into my gut like a rock. That’s… not possible, I thought. That’s not right at all.
